At Creative Minds Early Years, our vision is to create a safe, inclusive, and family-focused environment where children, families, educators, and the wider community work together in partnership to achieve the best possible outcomes for every child.
Founded by passionate, respectful, and caring educators and community-minded locals, we are committed to supporting the needs of families within the Colac community through high-quality early childhood education and care.
We believe every child is capable, unique, and valued. Through play-based learning, we encourage children to develop confidence, independence, resilience, and interdependence as they grow and learn alongside others.
We embrace and celebrate diversity in all its forms, welcoming all children and families regardless of race, culture, religion, abilities, gender, social background, or family structure. We recognise that each person brings unique strengths, perspectives, and experiences that enrich our community and help create a strong sense of belonging.
We honour and celebrate the richness of our multicultural and Indigenous communities, valuing the knowledge, histories, and perspectives they contribute to our shared future. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and ways of learning are respectfully embedded into our everyday practices, environments, and programs, fostering understanding, respect, and connection to community and Country.
Commitment: We are committed to ensuring all children have a safe place to play and learn in a fun and engaging natural environment. We respect and embrace the rights and voice of all children.
Meaningful Learning: (holistic) We value the relationships between our children, families and educators. It is important to nurture and build healthy, respectful relationships with parents/guardians as well as the children. Promoting connections and interests and including them in our educational program.
Environment: We are committed to modelling and leading by example to teach the children how to care and respect the land of the local Indigenous people and to be in tune with our environment. We believe outdoor education fosters a sense of community and adventure, inspires exploration, and nurtures creative minds.
Young minds: Flourishing in our nurturing environment, where curiosity and creative minds are inspired every day.
